2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣0️⃣ has been a difficult year, to say the least, nobody saw it coming and nobody thought it would cause so much disruption to our ‘norm’ and to our daily lives. But yet through all of this, the abundant blessings still continue to pour down from above.
💊 Working as a pharmacist, the pandemic brought along uneasy patients which translated into increased workload and stress. Yet, God reminded me of the reason that I was put into this job and how fortunate I was to still have it whilst many others lost theirs. Being a pharmacist also meant that I couldn’t work from home and this gave me an unchanged and stable routine through the weeks & months.
🏠 The pandemic also meant that we couldn’t go out or hang out with friends as much but being at home more often, it has given me more opportunities to spend time with family. Under the ‘norm’, my schedule would have been filled and packed with activities outside of home and I would be ‘too busy’.
Through this pandemic, serving in SEEC as well as in my fellowship has been somewhat challenging. The fellowship not being able to meet physically threw off a lot of the plans going forward which brought uncertainties, it also created teething problems with handling a fellowship virtually. All of this made me worry that people may start attending not as much or even not at all but yet, thanks to God, our bro & sis have continually and consistently attended, our numbers have even grown.
📷 This has been my little snapshot of 2020 and everyone probably went through something difficult in one way or another or maybe even still going through it right now. That’s okay, let’s take a deep breath. One day, when we look back at the difficulties we faced this year, we will see the bigger picture and the bigger plans that God has installed in our lives.
🙏 Finally, I leave you with this verse:
“In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
John16:33b
