I had started participating in SEEC since the first year of university as some seniors at the Chinese fellowship encouraged me to, so I joined. I think one of the most unforgettable experience was that during my first year, I was assigned to the allergy group as I am almost allergic to any kind of food, but the committee had been really considerate with my diet and catered for my needs. And God used the conference to help me breakthrough my skin disease, eczema.
I would say SEEC is definitely a life-transforming conference. Each year, I see significant transformations in Christ. The first year, I committed my life to Christ, that year I experienced supernatural healing from God in my 2 year battle of eczema due to stress from studying and an unhealthy lifestyle. In the second year, I repented from my past sins and I wanted to pursue the Lord more. And in the third year, I wanted to serve in full-time ministry. It was truly amazing how God had used the conference to shape who I am today. Today, I am serving in the youth ministry at my Church (Kong Fok Church).
SEEC is a 5 days 4 nights conference, it might seem crazy how 5 days and 4 night can change many things, but yes indeed, God’s work is not as we could imagine. SEEC is truly a conference that is blessed hugely by God, I see many students’ passion for the gospel and to serve Him after this conference, through excellent sermons and talks preached by pastors travelling over all the way from HK. And I am truly blessed by this conference as well through the talks, sermons, workshops, fellowships, sharing, meditations, and serving in the worship team. These had all contributed to my dream to serve God everyday, and that serving God is a glorious thing. Serving the God who truly loves me and delivers me from all my sicknesses and past.
My prayer is that the committee will continue to use this conference to bless more students and no matter in what form, that God’s word will and may speak through.
