For many of us, a common theme for 2020 is probably \u201cuncertainty\u201d.
Whether you are studying\/ graduated or working, \u201cplanning ahead\u201d does not seem to work like how it used to be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Christians, we plan ahead in God\u2019s will and we seek His will through building a relationship with Him daily.
So, in theory, no matter what\u2019s happening in the world, we can still \u201cplan ahead\u201d, as we all know that \u201cGod reigns and He remains\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, this is what I have found out about myself during the pandemic.
Since the beginning of last academic year, I have been praying about my future, as I wanted to know what has God planned for me.
Meanwhile, I set myself a goal and was very focused on it. I prayed, I studied, I put in application, then repeat I prayed\u2026 again and again.
Yet, the more I did, the more uncertain I felt, and the less confidence I had.
It was until the first national lockdown happened in the UK, then I realised I was very overwhelmed by my future planning. However, I didn\u2019t know what to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Until one day in my bible reading (Hebrew ch11-12), it talks about faith and that we should \u201cthrow off everything that hinders\u201d us and \u201crun with perseverance the race marked out for us\u201d (Hebrew 12:1 NIV).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To me, the verse was telling me that the goal that I have set for myself was a hinder pulling my focus away from God. At the same time, even though God has not revealed the future to me, I should be focused on the race that He has already marked out for me now, which is to be a faithful student. It may seem like a step that does not take me very far, but it is a step that I learn what is faithful, how to be faithful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One step at a time, focus on what I need to do now and do it well \ud83d\ude04
