蔡院長畢業於香港大學土木工程系，從商六年後入讀建道，1993年道學碩士課程畢業。隨後在芝加哥三一神學院和加爾文神學院修畢神學碩士和哲學博士學位。1998年開始在建道任教，在2006-2012年在九龍城浸信會牧會六年多，在2009-2012年任主任牧師。2013年被邀請重回母院建道執教。曾擔任副院長(學術與發展)及普通話學院總監。
Dr. Choy majored in Systematic Theology when studying in the Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and majored in Calvin studies in Calvin Theological Seminary. Before answering the call to be a pastor, he has engaged in China trade for five to six years. He has been teaching at ABS since 1998, focusing on subjects like church history, Calvin theology, research methodology, Pauline theology and Homiletics. He is also responsible for ABS’s Putonghua programs and pays close attention to the modern development of Chinese churches and Chinese theological education.
